Scott's Root Cause Analsysis
If math and history had a baby, this would be it! George Santayana said: "Cogently observed that those who ignore the lessons of history are doomed to repeat them."

History is not necessarily something that happened a long time ago and its lessons are often written in patterns that can best be understood in mathematical terms. If you love patterns or math or especially is you don't, take a little time to get acquainted with root cause analysis.

Probability suggests you will be grateful for having done so.
Having been in training and education in some form or another for most of my life, I was so intrigued when online courses came along. eLearning can be fun, satisfying and comprehensive. This blog is for continued exploration of eLearning. What else can we do to make it more powerful? What does the eLearner like and dislike? What will it take to create award winning eLearning courses?

My purpose here will be to consider and discuss the nature and implications of the widespread cultural bias against a generation that could and should be considered "Human Beings v.2.0 (Millennials, aka Gen-Y, born circa 1982-2001)!" They are not lazy, ADD, spoiled or self-indulgent. They are not broken and they don't need fixing.

Whether you call them screenagers, digital natives or my personal favorite "crash test geniuses," these young people are being systematically excluded from full participation in society, the workplace and even their families due to their significant differences from the culture that begat them.

The misunderstanding that has led to the ostracism of Millennials must be resolved. No group of people should be isolated from participation in larger society as a consequence of any characteristic or dissimilarity from the majority. Please join me in advocating for these remarkable young people.
Millennial Bridge
In the beginning all marketing was word-of-mouth, person-to-person. Then as the earth cooled, time passsed, media proliferated and the person-to-person nature of product awareness faded for a time. In today's ad saturated environment we have become numb to the cacophony of piercing media intrusions on our attention. We literally must block out the incessant din of media marketing.

More and more, we rely on the integrity and immediacy of our social networks. People are in fact "the new media." Reliable access to word-of-mouth channels is increasingly essential to any initiative; business, political or personal. This blog is about the art and science of generating and propogating viral messages in any social network.
